Children

Children

Children are an important and vital part of church life at City North. Children aged up to three enjoy spending time in the Nursery. Children learn about God and the Bible in ways that are fun, interactive and engaging at Kids Church and annual Kids Holiday Club. At Playgroup, children enjoy a morning of fun and learning as they interact with their parents and each other.

Before your children can participate in a children’s activity at City North, parents must complete a participation permission form for each of their children.

Nursery

The Nursery operates during the church service to look after children aged from 0 to 3 years old. The nursery is equipped with toys and a nappy change facility. The nursery is located at the back of the church building. Children are minded in air-conditioned comfort until after the service when their parents or caregivers come to collect them.

Kids Church

Kids Church is a place where children learn about God and the Bible in ways that are fun, interactive and engaging, including singing, craft activities and stories. At City North, children can attend either Junior Kids Church (for children aged 3 to 7) or Kids Church (for children aged 8 to 11) on Sunday mornings during school terms.

Children sit with the adults in the general church service (starting at 9:00am) until around 9:30am, when they move to other rooms within the church building for Kids Church. Children stay in the Kids Church rooms until after the service, when their parents can collect them.

All Kids Church teachers hold ‘blue cards’ from the Queensland Government, having passed ‘suitability for working with children’ checks. Contact us for more information.
