D-Camp 2010

City North D-Camp 2010 is our Young Adults discipleship camp. This year we are privileged to have Dr. Mike Bird, Theology Lecturer from Crossway College (BCQ) as our speaker!

He will speak 4 messages from 1 Corinthians on the theme of: “Living as the people of God in a pagan world”.

Discipleship camp offers a great time for City North Young Adults to meet God together and grow in our relationship with him and also with each other. It is a chance for us to be inspired and recognise how we can fulfil the potential that Christ has for our lives. Campers will have the opportunity to spend time getting to know one another over meals, free time and study sessions. This year we return to PCYC Bornhoffen, in the Gold Coast hinterland for what will be an awesome time of growth and fellowship!

The camp will include all the usual festivities and is open to all Young Adults and Grade 12 students!

When: Friday 15th to Sunday 17th October 2010

Camp Speaker: Dr. Mike Bird Theology Lecturer, Crossway College (BCQ)

Dr. Michael Bird is Brisbane local who has just this year returned home after spending the last few years lecturing in New Testament, Ancient Greek, and Early Church History at Highland Theological College in Scotland.  He is currently the Theology Lecturer at the Bible College of Queensland and according to him, “When I’m not doing that I’m either preparing or delivering papers for a conference somewhere in the world, writing and editing books on early Christian history and theology, and trying to torment my students in new and innovative ways.”

Mike is well respected in the world of theological scholarship and is also a dynamic and thought provoking preacher and it is our privilege to have him speak at this year’s D-Camp.
