AM Series: Romans 9-11

Join our new AM series as we head into a section of the Bible that is packed full of controversy. Romans 9-11 has been the subject of much debate throughout church history but while what is written there is challenging it is also encouraging!

If you cringe when you hear theological terms such as predestination, election, Calvinism and Arminianism or if you want to bury your head in the sand when conversations about the end times and the future of Israel come up… then this new series is for you.  After explaining the gospel to the church in Rome Paul begins to unpack the implications of God’s new work in the gospel for the people of Israel and for us in the church today.  Romans 9-11 stands as one of those sections of Scripture which will always challenge our thinking and stretch us to new levels of appreciation for God’s unfathomable work of salvation.

It is our prayer that as we wrestle through some of these concepts that perhaps what has previously been confusing will be made clear, what has previously been offensive will be made palatable and what has previously been taken for granted will be blown wide open.  God does not want us to be passive in our attempts to grapple with His reality, He calls us to seek how high, wide, deep and long is His love for us in Christ –  so by His grace this is what we will do.
